Treat training is now
the "IN" thing,
and it seems to be more difficult to find a place that teaches
a
common
sense approach to dog training! To bribe
any dog to do what you ask,
is simply ludicrous!
I have attended a Novice, Intermediate and
Advanced Obedience Class
at Canino Dog
Training School, and have every intention of
returning
with any new dog I get. I now teach
private obedience sessions, and
believe me, more times than not, I am re-training a "treat" trained
dog! PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE is the best
reward in town! Dany's techniques have been
tried, proven and very
effective. I have Golden Retrievers and they LOVE training time .
. .
we just
have
a blast working the excercises. Corrections are never abusive, they
are just that -
a correction! My dogs eagerly anticipate
whatever
it is we will be doing, as they smile and
trot alongside me, wagging
their little tails. I am
VERY proud of them!
Thank you Dany!

"I've taken numerous
dogs through Canino Dog Training School (which resulted in all
being certified Canine Good Citizens and becoming therapy dogs). The Koehler Method,
taught so effectively by Dany, is successful because
Dany insists
that handlers are consistent and that all commands and corrections
are
Fast, Firm and Fair!"

"I have taken
my bloodhounds to both Dany's obedience and handling classes
and the results
have been amazing
in both arenas. When I first took Knotty to handling class at six
months he was a challenge and I was a very inexperienced owner.
With Dany's patience, knowledge and expertise I became a reasonably
good owner- handler and my bloodhound, Knotty, became the top winning
bloodhound of all time. The highlight of Knotty's career was when
he won Best In Show at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship in
2005 and he won primarily because of his 4 minute stack while the
TV crew was repairing the judges microphone. Anyone who knows bloodhounds
knows that this kind of showmanship is not innate with a bloodhound-
it was taught to him by Dany Canino in handling class."

This is George, a
French Briard. He happens to be the star of Pet Therapy at
Northridge Hospital and Van Nuys
Hospital, and the only dog, I believe they let into the the Grossman
Burn Center. He is 10 (Feb.2) and probably, in all modesty, the
greatest dog (at least, the greatest Briard) ever. He is exceptionally
large. Thanks Dany for training Gracie (his mother) and George.
Next month, Bonnie (my wife) says she will enroll me for your instruction.

My Collie, Honey and I enrolled in a ten week obedience
course with Dany Canino. My dog had no training prior to the start of this class. The class
was taught in a straightforward and logical manner that was very
easy to follow.
Right after graduating our ten week class, I was feeling so confident
in my dog's and my ability I decided to enter Honey at an A.K.C.
show in Obedience. I had never shown a dog in my life. I am proud
to say that Honey qualified for her Obedience Title with three straight
qualifying scores. She was the youngest dog
competing at the shows and the only one there who completed her
title in only three tries(the minimum amount needed to qualify
for a title).
The method that Dany teaches turns out a reliable, confident,
and happy dog who wants to please its owner. I can not imagine
training with anyone else or using any other method. Dany is truly
the best.

"Thank goodness
for Dany! My new puppy was a handful. The breeder referred
me to Dany. We began with the Puppy Orientation Session,
a private lesson where Dany came to my home. Dany made quite an
impression. Within minutes, she taught Paladin (at 3 months
old) to wait at an open front door,
and to not eat my cell phone! When Paladin was 4 ½ months
old, we enrolled in Dany’s Novice Obedience class. I could
not believe the things we both learned. What a pleasure it is to
go for a walk without the tugging and
pulling! I receive a lot of compliments on my dog’s good
behavior and cheerful temperament. I now have a new puppy that has
already started in a class with Dany.
Thanks Dany!"
